Indecision–The Biggest Source Of Chaos In Your Life

How many times have those “if only” moments come back to haunt you for whatever it is you have or have not done? Too often, we find our dreams lie just within our grasp-if not for the indecisions that kept us from making that all important commitment to follow through.

Decisions are part of life– it ushers in purpose life needs to have in order to have meaning. It may be to build wealth or enjoy a full and rewarding personal existence; whatever it is, decisions can change your life.

Making decisions is bringing order to the manner by which your mind processes things. It will direct you to a specific course of action you have to take in order to attain your goals. If it sounds easy, you may not have come across factors that will make you have second thoughts on what you previously thought was good. Be aware that indecision can keep you from enjoying an amazing quality of life you could have had.

What is indecision? Indecision is the lack of ability to choose a stance and stick to it. People underestimate how indecisiveness can largely impact the way we live. If we are constantly unsure of what to do and how to feel, emotional and mental wars will always cause us stress.

Experts define indecisiveness as being ambivalent. If you have conflicting emotions over a particular matter, it will keep you from taking the necessary steps to carry out your goals. Ambivalence results in unproductive living-a hindrance from attaining the quality of life you want.

If you find yourself in such a state, arrest these thoughts and choose to bring yourself to where you want to be by making a decision or a constant series of choices. If you want to build wealth, then decide on pursuing a path that will help you accomplish that. You cannot change your life if you do not do anything about what needs to be done.

Do not be intimidated by whatever circumstance you may be in. Decisions are not externally determined; it starts in your heart. You can choose to build wealth no matter what the economic forecast may say. Self-awareness and strength of will see you through any goal you want to attain.

Remember, you can control your own destiny by taking charge of your thought patterns today. Purpose life building decisions and begin an exciting adventure you never thought you could have.

Insights into Simplifying Life

In between having a career one must also stop to introspect that what kind of life we are actually leading. One feels overjoyed while rushing between meetings the whole day, but it can be tiring also. What type of life do we want then?

You need to think about what is precious for you. Your circle of family and friends will always be there to help you out during tough times. But at times, you need to experience real adventure, fun and freeness to see that life is full of fun and there is much more than only work. Take out time to appreciate what is happening in your vicinity.

Reinventing your own life may not be the perfect solution, figure a way out to ease your life. Take a decision on what you consider to be most precious, have a life centered around those values and reduce the mess that doesn’t help you reach your goals. First and foremost, think of what is valuable, and before you start simplifying it, you need to qualify what are the determinants of a high quality life.

We have a consumerist attitude of living life, which tends to contradict the whole idea of simplifying life. As we keep living, we tend to accumulate more and more over a period of time and the world thinks that we are extremely interested in possessing objects and material wealth. It could be more than the physical items as well. One could be collecting activities also. This behavior makes us like a rat, which is always racing from one experience to another. Even though, this gives us importance and desire to be possessed, we are not always happy and satisfied.

There is an emergence of movement of simplicity in the flood of stuff. While we work rapidly and constantly, we become a hamster on a wheel. A large part of our salary goes in meeting our regular expenditure and we only save a handful of our income. We all need to keep remembering that life is short.

You need to come up with an objective that will make you happy and content. This same principle can be applied to your day to day routine. Try and take out time on a daily basis for new opportunities. Leverage time management which means one needs to do lesser things of higher importance. At the end of the day, simple living is all about a philosophy.

Living life simply means unburdening our lives and making it more light and clean. The goal should be to create more rounded, simple and lateral relationships with all the key aspects of our life: which includes the activities we accomplish, bonding with people in our contact and our connections with the world at large. This is in a profound sense a life which is straight on the outside and rich inside.

For many people, living life in a simple fashion means catering to gardening needs, taking a walk in the park every afternoon or reading one’s favourite books. By doing this, one tends to reduce the worldly possessions to ensure that one is never in a hurry. You can now focus on the world outside because you have lesser distraction to bother you now. Some people believe that life is all about gathering money and power. For people who have been focusing on the opposite, they know that everybody needs some time in the world to reflect, think and also get adventurous. Money and control are nothing in front of happiness in life.

Don’t Be A Victim To Your Cultural Limitations

Posted by Bob Proctor | Posted in Success | Posted on 04-12-2009-05-2008

People often walk around living little lives when they actually have so much more to offer. Ask them why and many will point to educational or familial background and present circumstances as their excuses. Look deeper into these excuses and you will notice that these self-imposed limitations are founded on paradigms they have had in life.

Paradigms are powerful tools to change life. These are pre-existing mindsets we have that largely dictate our thought patterns and subsequent actions. If, for example, you have always felt insignificant, when it’s time to find a job you will go for local jobs instead of international jobs even if you are highly capable. You will earn money, but it will be less satisfying than what you deserve.

How did you conclude that local jobs are what you want? Is it a goal you set to attain? You probably weren’t even aware that you were automatically ignoring international jobs because you felt you are not equipped to handle important tasks. This negative perception on yourself is an example of a damaging paradigm that has to be corrected.

Evidently, paradigms are powerful tools that make its presence felt in your life. One of the biggest factors that influence our mindsets is culture and it is up to us whether we choose to make it work for us or against us.

Culture is a set of predominant beliefs and ideas of a particular block of people. It is not necessarily national; it may mean a family or company setting as well. If your corporate culture is ruthless and unethical in their dealings, you might be in danger of compromising your spiritual and moral growth-a vital proponent to change life to one of meaning and true success.

Find a job that will allow you to earn money in a productive and positive environment. It is your choice whether you want to be defined and limited by your culture. It is not easy to break away from the mold, especially if it is cast by people closest to you and have been in place for years; but it is vital that you do so to experience wealth-not just financially, but personally as well.

So what can be done to break from the negative cultural limitations that face us today? Become aware of an area in life wherein you can see a harmful culture is restricting you from experiencing success. Write it down as well as all the associations you relate it to. Start reprogramming your mind and begin thinking good thoughts and speak positive words to these matters, however challenging it may seem to be for the moment.

It matters little how much you’ve learned, it’s how you apply it that counts. Find wealth and prosperity by setting yourself free from cultural limitations- remember, it is your destiny to reign in life.
